DCCC Co-authorship guidelines
Co-authorships will depend on intellectual contributions on a case-by-case basis. Recommendations for authorships will comply with the criteria of the Vancouver Convention (ICMJE) and the specific requirements of the relevant journal/publisher.
Basic recommendations for authorship will be
- Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
- Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
- Final approval of the version to be published; AND
- Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved
Publication guidelines:
Concerns all publications that use DCCC Brain Tumor Center data and analyses that have been generated through DCCC Brain Tumor Center platforms.
Prior to submission, manuscripts must be submitted for evaluation by the DCCC Brain Tumor Center’s Board of Directors to ensure concordance with the data access project description as well as quality and validity of the scientific findings. The DCCC Brain Tumor Center’s Board of Directors will be given 14 days to provide recommendations for revision prior to submission.
The DCCC Brain Tumor Center’s Board of Directors will not have a formal mandate to make changes to the proposed manuscript.
Please include the following sentences in the acknowledgments:
“The project is part of the DCCC Brain Tumor Center funded by the Danish Cancer Society, Grant No. R295-A16770”
Announcement of planned projects:
Groups of DCCC members preparing for a new defined project, will require submission of a concept form (separate Word document) that outlines the proposed work, contributing members and required data types.
Concept forms will be evaluated and approved by the Steering Group.
The purpose of the concept form is to ensure overlapping project proposals are combined and are aligned with the overall aim and ethical guidelines of the center.
