DCCC-Brain Tumor Center attending a conference in Boston

November 2021. Researchers from the DCCC-Brain Tumor Center joined the annual conference of the Society of Neuro-Oncology (SNO) in Boston. It is the largest neuro-oncology conference in the world.

It was great again to be able to be physically present at a conference, to interact and to discuss with researchers with an interest in neuro-oncology.

The DCCC-Brain Tumor Center presented 4 posters by MD, PhD Dorte Nørøxe, MD, PhD-student Simone Bendix Maarup, MD, PhD-student Vincent Fougner and MSc, PhD-student Josephine Hendriksen respectively. In addition to the presenting researchers from our center, the Danish delegation also consisted of the center co-director, Chief Physician, MD, DMSc Hans Skovgaard Poulsen, MD, PhD Thomas Urup, Group leader at BRIC Joachim Weischenfeldt and PhD-student Signe Skadborg from Sine Hadrup’s group at DTU.

This year, unfortunately, no results were presented that changes the clinical practice, but we still had an educational and enjoyable trip, where we made new acquaintances and started new collaborative projects. We are already looking forward to next year’s SNO!

Sincerely, Simone, Josephine, Vincent, Dorte, Thomas, Joachim and Hans.
