Can research crack the code for future treatments?
June 14, 2025 a popular science lecture will take place at the Danish Folkemøde, Bornholm – discover the Danish researchers’ work to solve the riddles of brain cancer.
Brain cancer is one of the most difficult forms of cancer to treat, and for patients with the most aggressive and common type – glioblastoma – survival has unfortunately not
improved in the last many years. Researchers are working hard to change that picture.
- Can research make a difference for patients with brain cancer?
- What is the potentials of the upcoming and new treatments ?
- Can better diagnostics and laboratory research, change the future prospects?
- Brain-cancer crosstalk – can we interrupt the conversation?
Meet the researchers Anders Korshøj, Dorte Schou Nørøxe and Bo Halle from the DCCC Brain Tumor Center, a center supported by the Danish Cancer Society.
Get an update on the latest research, eg. how small radioactive molecules are injected into brain cancer, including blood tests which can be used to monitor cancer and adjust treatment, and how mouse models can be used to map brain impulses.
The lecture is hosted by DCCC – Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center
