This algorithm calculates overall survival probabilities in % at 6, 12, 18, 24 and 36 months for glioblastoma patients treated with standard therapy based on age (years), gender, Corticosteroid use, Multifocal disease, Surgical resection, Performance Status and Methylated or Un-methylated. The calculated probabilities represent the average for the combination of factors, the statistical analysis shows a substantial variation dependent upon unknown factors. The algorithm is described in the reference below. The probabilities assume a similar survival to that described in the reference with similar laboratory technology, otherwise the estimates will be biased.
The authors and The DCCC Brain Tumor Center have diligently controlled the algorithm ensuring that it is in accordance with the results of the study. Absolutely no warranty for the use of this algorithm is provided.
